Description
Cymru Cues Black Cue Grain Filler / Enhancer – Supplied in Our Own Custom 50g Tin.
We have made this Grain Filler ourselves like most other products we sell including Cue Oil, Tip Sealer etc, I have over 40yrs experience and worked on many 1000’s of cues over this time and tried to produce the best products possible as im very OCD myself!
Our grain filler is designed for easy application.
It will fill the grain on all ash cue shafts, And highlight the natural grains/arrows on the shaft as it was when it was new or even better than new!
Full Refinish – Using Grain Filler ( Before starting Wear Gloves to avoid skin contact and Wear a Face Mask throughout )
Application:
-
Before applying our grain filler to the ash shaft, Lightly sand the shaft using 300-800 grit sand paper.
-
After you have done that you can now apply a thin coat of our grain filler twisting it into the grain while applying it.
-
Then allow to dry for approx 15-20 minutes depending on your working conditions.
-
Now the grain is filled you can lightly sand off excess with 800-1500 grit sand paper, You can re-apply additional layers if required for deeper grain fills and repeat the sanding as above.
-
You can then apply a thin coat of our cymru cues cue oil and leave for 15-20 minutes again depending on your working conditions.
-
Then you can buff off the excess cue oil with a soft cloth and leave for approx 3-4 hours.
-
Now you can lightly sand/buff the shaft with 1500-3000 grit sand paper.
-
After you have lightly sanded/buff the shaft you can now apply another thin coat of cue oil every 24 hours if needed and buff off the excess after approx 15-20 minutes each time.
-
You cannot over oil the shaft as when the shaft doesn’t need anymore the cue oil won’t soak into the shaft and it will remain wet after approx 15-20 minutes then you will know the shaft is fully nourished and doesn’t need anymore coats.
-
Our cymru cues cue oil doesn’t leave a sticky finish at all like some other cue oils especially linseed oil thats why we mix our own and not buy it in as we are very OCD! And more importly our own cue oil is 100% natural and doesn’t colour/darken the shaft at all on ash or maple cues like most other cue oils.
To Enhance The Grain – Using Grain Filler/Enhancer ( Before starting Wear Gloves to avoid skin contact and Wear a Face Mask throughout )
